This website list’s facts/ideas about REM’s song It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine). I make the distinction as not all of them confirmed nor have sources, however that will be addressed later. The facts most dissect the lyrics of the song, breaking down key parts and supplying suggestions or definitions of what they may be addressing. Such as giving the verse of the bible a certain line may be referencing, as well as giving other trivia about the song.

The venue of this article is a website, with an audience of the general public. A clearly popular-based article and not academic, the piece has alright credibility for that purpose. It does not claim to hold all the answers or to have researched  extensively, it merely claims to have opinions of several people toward the song and provide areas of discussion, therefore does well for its purpose. A date is not provided so currency is questionable, the most recent date it mentions within the page is 2012 so it is at least that recent.

For the specific topic of my essay this is not an overly-useful article. Instead, this provides lots of extra information and “fluff” to include in my essay to make it less barebones. I plan to use it in such a manner, as extra information is helpful in constructing an informative essay.
